Sylvania Silverstars are very nice bulbs. They are whiter than stock, without having the blue that's common with many "simulated HID" bulbs. The whiter light is much easier on the eyes than blue-tinted light.
I'm not 100% sure whether Sylvania makes them in H7 size, I would assume so, since that was a common size used during the late 90's (as they are somewhat brighter than 9006).
I have them on my 96 (in 9006 size), and am very happy with them.
The other bulb highly regarded around hear is the Razo Premium White Zero. In addition, PIAA Extreme White are supposed to be good bulbs, but overpriced.

Check out these two links, they're discussions on the GS forum about SilverStars, Razo's, etc. There's a lot of good pics of GS with the two bulbs, including a pic of a GS with a Razo in one bulb and the SilverStar in the other for comparison.

On another note, has anybody with a 92-96 done the 9006 to 9005 hack? I know it gets you about 60% more lumens for 10 watts more, but I'm concerned about upward glare caused by the 9005's lack of a cap. However, 9005 SilverStars in the lows sounds to me like the best "poor man's HID" setup (until I can afford the E39 retrofit). I'm tempted, especially with the $10 rebate going on SilverStars (check out the RX forum).

After about 6 yrs of ownership, my ES is not stock anymore... I installed the Sylvania Silverstars (9006 type) today, and all I have to say is wow, what an amazing improvement in lighting! The roads illuminate well and at a wider range on the roads. The freeway is especially a good place to compare the lighting to other cars' lighting. From what I have witnessed, their stock halogens are no match for the 4100K bulbs I got Wow, I'm definitely never going back to the stock halogens, that's for sure, and I took some pics of my car with the new lights, so I hope to post them soon (depending on where I can find a scanner)
