Default HID Kit needed for my car

After looking at all of these retro threads, I'm looking at having a member do this on my car. I have the option of swapping out the halogen bowl to HID bowl (once member replies to my latest PM) or going all out and buying projectors. The HID Bowl requires D2R bulbs and the projector requires d2s or d4s (depending on projectors). My question is, is there any HID kit that has d2r or d2s/d4s bulbs? My halogen bulbs are 9006 and I know there are kits for that, but I don't think you can put a 9006 bulb in a HID reflector bowl or in a projector because certain bulbs are made for those applications. I'm looking at purchasing a 4300-5k kit to work with the retro.

You are correct, the bulb will vary depending on housing or projector. Look at the back of your current housing vs the HID housing. My guess is you won't be using 9006 type bulbs once you switch. If this is the case, you can buy a D2R kit. If you're willing to spend more for premium work, I can refer you to a retrofit specialist.

Yes, it is possible to get a D2R/D2S kit. We carry them in our shop.
