Default Hids from ddm tuning problems?

My driver side 55w hid low beams have failed me twice already since I've had it (2 weeks). The first day I switched from 35w ballast to the 55w ballast using the same bulb. Ddm tuning said that the bulb does not matter when switching to 55ws because they are the same. Once I installed the new ballast the lights were working. I turn it off for about 30 minutes, then I go out for a drive and noticed that my driver side low beams were not functioning. Then I left it. After a couple of hours, it started to work again. Same thing happened to me tonight. My driver side went out for about an hour then came back on when I got home.....

Do you guys think its the ballast or the bulb? I didn't have a chance to test it because by the time I got home it started to work again. Should I just get the driver side's bulb and ballast replaced?

Oh yea, when I noticed that the driver's side stopped working, I pulled over into a local parking lot. I checked under the hood, disconnected the ballast's power then reconnected it. The only response I got was the bulb flickering once like it was supposed to power on or something but it didn't ignite.

You can switch the ballast from the driver side to the other side to see if the problem follow the ballast or the bulb.
