I can only speak for myself, but be EXTRA careful with:

HIDplanet.com

Are they the same as PlanetHID? I'm not sure, but I got burned from HIDplanet for the last set of bulbs (one has a cracked base) of Ultinons. I'm out at a loss with no bulb and $$$.

Thanks guys! I certainly try to help out as much as I can.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Volt HID kits j three! The Volt kits have been a VERY popular seller on this board especially now with the $94.99 price point!

Steve

In defense of a site that I love, I'm going to set the record straight.

HiD Planet itself does not sell Ultinon Bulbs, yet the members sell them in the classified section, HiD Planet only sells OE Philips bulbs.

You cannot blame the entire site for your bad luck with a shady member who was personally selling those bulbs. It is your fault for not asking for pictures of the bulbs from top to bottom. You have to be a smart buyer, and it starts with knowing what to look for when you buy high dollar bulbs.

HiD Planet is the premier source for HiD/Led related info on the web, whether it's upgrading your OE HID, or finding retrofit parts/info, there is nothing else like it on the web.

Hi Emoshun,

Thanks for the info. I bought the last pair of Philips Ultinons from them directly and I did know about the cracked base because they sent me pictures (I have a thread in the 1st gen RX). They sold the bulbs at a reduced price because the base was cracked. I sent money via PayPal. They said the post office shows delivered but I never got it. After numerous emails, they finally said they filed a claim and will have to wait. How I came to the conclusion of "be careful" is they said they filed the claim ONLY after I filed a dispute with PayPal and then, they gave me a claim number. Had I only complained about no items received, nothing would have been done. It took PayPal to force them to produce a claim number.

I'm sure they're a good company. I just had a bad experience with them.

Side note, I noticed PlanetHID has a banner in here. Is that the same and HIDPlanet?

No HiD Planet doesn't advertise like that, which reminds me why I love the site to much, no banner ads!
