HI,

Hi/lo means there is two bulbs and one bulb base, so your low beam is HID and high beam is halogen.

The bi-xenon means both low beam and high beam is HID.

So there is a small metal piece inside the bulbs that uses electro magnetic energy to shift the metal to change from low to high changing it's focus point (near to farther for high beam)

These types of bulbs are called dual beam and only certain bulb types and certain cars have that.

No way I could pass up the xmas special ordered 9006 6000k Today

 

Placed an order yesterday for 5000K 9006's. Received an email later in the day saying my order had been shipped. Impressed so far with the order process, hope the system works as well.

 

I had some issues at first with my hi/lo kit for my 1st gen LS however, Michelle got me the additional parts needed which correct the issue.
The kit was installed two days ago and is functioning flawless (note: at times lights will not turn on if vehicle is cold).

Also, I should mention that I ordered a pair of 10000K bulbs as a spare for my GS which did not match the connectors on my existing ballast. I will be getting a re-fund for the bulbs but not the cost to ship it back.

Has anyone here bought a 5k kit from mobileHID? Is it similar to the 5k or 6k kit here? The one I bought is pure white with no bluish or yellowish tint. I am just trying to match it up.

 

I think 5k would be pure white. My 6k has a hint of blue to it.

 

Got my kit in the mail Saturday, less than a week after I ordered them and with a holiday thrown in. Thanks for the quick service Michelle. Installation was a snap.
