Default AutoHead Light Delay

Someone posted a thread about adjusting the delay on the auto-headlight. I know that the sensor is on top of the dash, but where does one adjust it? Thanks in advance.

genearch is right, it's something that the dealer has to adjust. It is part of the c-best for sure.

If you want the delay SHORT, try locking twice to instantly turn off.

The Lexus.com site has a Q/A area and the Auto Head Light adjustment question was addressed. It stated that you can adjust the Auto Head Light delay by turning the sensor lense at the top of the dash C'clockwise if the response is too quick, or if the response is too slow turn the sensor lense C'wise.
I haven't tried this so I can't speak from experience.

I had mine done by the dealer. They hook up a little computer to one of the plugs under the steering wheel to make the adjustments. I don't know about the messing with the windshild sensor. That sensors seems to be for the "auto" mode since it registers the amount of light it receives. Even then, I think that too is adjusted by the dealer with the computer. Dealers usually do this for free, so why mess with it.

parula, go to the Lexus.com site and enter the "owners" link. From there head to the customer support and there'll be a link for "FAQ" and the auto-headlight link is there... Hope this helps.
