Yeah, they use reflectors. That is why they use D2R bulbs. My cut off is not 180 degrees straight like the LS430. I think it is because they use projectors with D2S.

I think it is bulb related. Try switching the bulbs from side to side. I recently replaced my bulbs with 6000k's. Drivers side has a noticable "hotspot" of light, the beam is no longer straight, and it now slants down as it moves away from the center of the car.

it looks like the cutoff shield is bent, either that or the headlight itself is tilted.

can you take better pictures?
I'd need a few pictures of the car maybe 25ft from a wall. Take a pic with both lights on, then one with only left, then one with only right.

That way i can better diagnose the issue. I know a LOT about projectors- i just need better pics and i'll know exactly what's wrong with yours.

And you said 07-present ES350? that cutoff does NOT look like it's from an oem 07-09 Es350.

so when you had regular halogen bulbs did it do the same thing? if so then the light must be adjusted.

also, with halogen bulbs did u get two cut lines with it? if yes, then you must of place your passenger side hid bulbs incorrectly to get this bad of a light.

where your bulb sits in a housing no matter in a reflective bowl or projector, if place incorrect, the output can be devestating.

what year gs430? The 01-05 or 06-07?

01-05 used reflector type headlights while the next gen used projectors.

Where's the OP

the ES350 has an option for halogens??? I thought they were all HID.

In that case, you cannot just stick in an HID kit into the halogen (projectors?). Halogen projectors and HID projectors are totally different by the way they reflect light.

Something still seems fishy here...
