Question RX330 DRL to LEDs?

I have 04 RX 330 and from my understanding my headlight comprises of a HID for low beam, a halogen for the high beam and a smaller halogen for the DRL.

Is is possible to replace the bulb with LED and has anyone done something similar and can post a picture?

Lastly am I am able to easily access the Highbeam and DRL bulb because they always seemed blocked by something.

according to sylvanias website you have a D2-S bulb for hids.
and a 9005 bulb for high beams. most likely your DRL's are your high beams at 50 percent power. if thats the case then you can do a swap to get LED's into your high beams/DRL's. the problem with doing that is you will lose your highbeams. you might have to remove your headlight assembly to change to LED's. refer to your manual, some can probably changed by you, some probably require extensive removal.

drl's are the high beam bulbs at 6v instead of 12v. There's a little wedge bulb in the high beam reflector but that's used during low beam and parking light positions, just for show.

You cannot replace high beam with LED's for two reasons.
1. At half voltage during drl mode, the LED will be extremely dim and practically un-noticeable defeating the purpose of drl's letting people see you.
2. even in high beam mode with 12v, LED's aren't even close to bright enough to make for high beams.

i beg to differ.
not all cars have DRLs, so having them on or not doesnt matter that much. i had the dealer turn mine (DRL) off for my is350. while it may not be practical its not impossible to do. i agree that losing your highbeams prbably isnt the best idea, but if you are looking to get leds to make it look better why not. also there are modules out there that make the power go 100 percent even with the DRL LEds in place.

you could add a harness to get 12v constant to drl's but it's still not practical.
