Default LS 430 Conversion Questions??

My GS 300 is non-hid and I want to eventually do the LS 430 conversion. What type of light do you usually go with for the high beams and DRL's? or should I just leave that alone.

Once I find/buy the projectors, I understand I have to cut out my housing and make them fit snuggly - I also need a harness which I think I can get off of ebay and is that it??? Maybe tricky to set up the proper aim, but when that time comes I will deal with it, also these projectors seem scarce!! I found some LS 460's but I think I will pass...

i dont know much about retrofitting..... here's a thought.... do the LS430s for where your reg. low beams are... then get TL projectors for bi-xenon on your high beams... so you'll end up with a quad set-up for the low beams, and you'll also have the Bi-xenon HID light for the high beams....

no clue to whether or not it's possible.. but that's what i would love to have on my car given i have that kind of money to spend.

GOOD LUCK on the project! be sure to post pictures

I'd get the lighting kit from mobilehid.com; quality stuff at a very fair price and he can get you a kit with D2S bulbs w/ballasts and wiring harness for your application. I've got one of their kits in my fogs and have been happy. I just took out one of the fogs the other night, hit a racoon on the highway, the ballast was dented and gouged from the impact but still works perfectly, he's not kidding when he says they're tough!

Some people put projectors in the high-beams as well but that's up to you, you can leave them alone and it'll be fine. I don't really use my high-beams anyway.

Read all the DIY's you can on retrofitting before you try it and take your time. Keep checking Ebay and maybe over at hidplanet for the projectors, you should be able to find a set before too long.

Good luck, you'll love the results!

only thing i have to say... is instead of D2S... i'd say D2R if you're gonna put them in reflector headlamps. =P
