Does 3000k HID look greenish? Is this normal?
I just installed my 3000k HID fog light on my IS350 last night. It is xentec. Not sure why it looks so green. But then this is my first 3000k fogs I ever purchased. Many people asked me why it is green. But then they only saw it in the day time.

are you sure after the bulbs warm up they dont turn yellow? 3000K bulbs are just 4300k or 5000k bulbs made with yellow glass..... upon start up the bulb will burn hotter... thus giving off blue light, mix that with the yellow glass and you got green.
contact your seller and complain?.... they may have given you the wrong type of bulbs... they do have bulbs to get a green color...

I installed my 3000k kit from MobileHID, one of the sponsers, a few weeks ago and they are definitely yellow and the output is definitely yellow. What is the color on the road at night?

Yeah I agree, if the kit has less than 10(?) hours on it, they have tendencies to look "off". Lots of 8000k and 10000k kits will look more baby blue than a deep blue and it just takes a few hours usage for the color to come out. Same for many 12000k kits: usually purple, lots of people have bought 12000k kits looking for purple, only to find that it starts up deep/aqua blue, but after a few hours usage, they will shift to its normal color.
If you've only used them for a little while, given them time to "break in". If you have at least 10 hours on your bulbs, then at least you have another scenario checked off the list.
