Default A little HID Retrofit action...

Decided to play around with my new Canon S5 and my retrofit... My gf got me E46 Singles, Ballast, and 4300k bulbs... etc.

I had my friend cut some adapter plates out of 6061 aluminum.

Here are a few pics, I did get to get some wall shots yet, sorry

Oh and thanks to dopesc for sending me templates, it helped a lot!

Very nice! How did you seal them back up? You use new silicone, or just heat up the old stuff?

I reused the old stuff, which suprisingly has worked very well in my last retrofit (diff car).
I reused the rubber boot in the rear for sealing the rear of the projector.

I still need to buy E46 shrouds, but thats another time.

Here are a few extra pics. Before anyone says anything... I AM aware that they are aimed too high. I just wanted to grab a few pics. I am also going to color mod the projector too when I have it apart next time!

Im still trying to learn my camera... Its been a few days and I think I am getting better...

Your projectors are aimed a bit too high....

That's looking good!

My mate's hooking me up with a set of RX330 headlights (dunno if they are AFS or not though, is there any way to tell?). Hopefully I can get the ball rolling on my retrofit soon too.

ECE shield/projector lense > DOT Shield/projector lense

The cutoff should be a lot sharper compared to the dot cutoffs.
