you'd have to drill a hole for an LED on the inside area of the door handle and then run wires from the front foot well areas. those are the only lights that light up when you unlock your car and when you open the door.

i think it would have to be CAREFULLY done right otherwise it will look ricey.

I was looking to do this last weekend even looked for a good place to drill a hole for the LED....but I told myself "hmm...what light would be turned on when I just unlock it?"...footwell lights of course!. I might look into this more. I wonder how complicated the door **** (****?) thing is.

Don't BMWs already have illuminated exterior door handles? (like the 7 series?.. i think it's orange/amber).

Otherwise, that's a pretty cool mod.

I agree it won't look as cool because it would be on the underside of our door handle.

ricey?! i've done many a LED mod in my 00 RX and i'm no pro. LED's are very simple to install..and such a wiring job as this is simple. especially when you want to see the lights that night haha. ricey is not a word to be seen on these forums! save that for hondaforum hahah
