Installed HIDs and now moisture in one light....Help
I have moisture in just one light...drivers side. I can't find any info on how to fully close those doors on the back because of the wires going to the bulbs. (the door pinches them) Still I'm only getting moisture in one unit. Maybe it has nothing to do with the install. Any advice would be nice....Thanks!
ray- you shouldn't have to worry since your headlight config is different than his IS350 setup. The 2IS takes an H11 bulb and if the wires are getting in the way, you might want to drill a hole in the back of the door and put in a 1" grommet.
I have a TON of these grommets laying around and if you want some, just kick over 2 bucks for postage and I'll ship out a few.

vintage - maybe you can leave the doors open - fire up the bulbs and create a very hot and dry environment inside so the moisture will evap out? After maybe 30-60 minutes then seal the doors shut after it has been hot inside for a while?
Just take a heatgun/blow dryer to it, that'll dry it out real good had to do it with one my cars. Cut a 1inch hole, run wires through a grommet then push the grommet over the hole. Never put HID's on any Lexus, but I've done a bunch of E36 BMW's, and the process is pretty universal.
For my install on the BMW there were 4 wires I had to run through, so I got a grommet with 4 little holes for each wire, ran them all through poped the grommet into the hole then viola no more fogging/moisture.

Recently I baked a set of Acura TSX headlamps and low and behold I found one of those Silica gel pack things they stuff in shoe boxes mounted in there! I was like WTH lol
But I like your methods. Try these out first vintage. I'm sure if Acura uses those gel pack things they must be safe for your headlamp. I'll take a photo of the one I found in my TSX headlamps so you can know which type is used in this application if that makes sense. I'll post it up sometime this evening
Cliffud and dough boi...funny you mention about creating a dry environment inside the headlamp...
