Default HID Conversion Kits

Hey all,

what conversion kits would you reccomend for our cars? I dont want to go crazy and blind people with 12000K. I want to keep the lights within the 7000K-10000K range. Any suggestions?

the Kelvin (k) ratings do not depict brightness so you wont be blinding anyone as the numbers get higher. you might want to stick with 6k - 8k. thats my opinion.

as the Kelvin value gets higher, the bluer it gets but the less bright. hope that makes sense. 6k gives off a very bright white. while 8k isnt as bright but has more blue. 12k, man thats like purple

4300k is the highest temperature of viewable light output. Any hotter and viewable light output decreases.

well the K (ie 6000k, 8000k 12000k) doesnt determine the brightness of the bulb but rather the color, and actually the higher you go the lower the output of usable light actually gets...OEM cars with HID's use 4300K which is the brightest

12000k is just about straight purple

8000k has a bluish hue

6000k is pretty much billiant white with a hint of purple

If I were you I would not go above 6000k,as this gives you a nice combination of color and useable light

8000k is also very popular, anything above that is noticeably illegal and pretty much for show as the light output is just about the same if not worse that halogen
