EDIT: Just read the post above mine, 100% correct.
That is not true the Rx's lights are more brighter than our cars, believe me i saw the difference, and the new 2008 Rx has more advance turning of lights also, meaning adaptive xenons i noticed that too last night.

Never said that it produced a brighter light. Just that the Mercury Free bulbs produced more of a White looking light. Where the old mercury filled ones produced a bluer light.

Yea I'm a little bite confused about that, too. If the RX uses D2S and our fogs use 9006, how would they fit? Unless there's some sort of bulb adaptor... Only seen them for H4 though.

I customized the bulb to fit with the same ballast we have for our headlights. Custom install

After wiping the tears from my eyes, and letting my laughter wane, I had to reply to this personal point of view comment stated as fact.

Starting any point of view statement with "I believe" is asking for doubt.

You said the projectors in the IS and the RX are the same. Let me help you.

RX330 Projectors Notice the rear bulb entry

IS350 Projectors Notice the side entry

This is theside of the projector housing. As you can clearly see, the projector accepts the D4S buld through a side entry. This is true for all Xenon equipped 2IS.

To further emphasize my point let a fellow 2IS owner eloborate. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...1&postcount=14

I can only use the 2IS projectors because the bulbs are inserted through the side rather than behind the projector. Right now I have completed the retrofit and I also swapped out the stock fresnel lens for the super clear S2K lens for the sharp cutoff. The output is incredible compared to just using the HID kit on the halogen headlights. When I get the chance I will post some pics.

You earlier said its the same projector, and yet now all of a sudden they use different bulbs.

RX uses 85122+ D2S while IS uses D4S bulbs.

RX330 Projectors > 2IS projectors

Common sense would lead you to believe that if in fact they were the same projector, if they would use the same bulb. But they don't, so the projectors must be different. Period.

You know what else, they even use different ballasts!

I hope this helps clear up any further 2IS projector questions!

I'm thinking about replacing the projector lens only. Would this work? I think it would be possible as longas the diameter of the projector lens matches. Good projectors such as the ones on S2K or S4 would be pretty nice.
