RX xenon lights are more blueish than IS
I have a 2006 is350, i took it for service and they gave me an 2008 RX350, why is the xenon lights on it more blueish than on the IS?
Can i just buy the bulbs and exchange them from the RX are they compatible?
The Rx's look more like the benz or the bmw...it's what i want

I also concluded that the rx lights are a little more advanced and if not technically it just seems that way. Now anyone who has been in both cars can attest to this. Start an rx against a wall and watch the lights dance left right up down but really wide. Now start your isx50 and up and down but left and right nothing liek the rx. Also the rx sits higher so the lights your seeing are moreso at eye level. Get on the floor infront your isx50 and look directly at the lights you will see the blue you want so just if you can try and make a tech turn them up a bit. It worked out for me but if you still are not happy just get the bulb.

i'm pretty sure the rx uses the same or similar temp hid bulbs as the is. the blue cutoff that you see is created by the projector housing. if you want that cool blue/purple cutoff/flicker, you'll need to alter the projector housing. not sure if it has been done to the is yet, but people have done it for other cars like the tsx by adding washers to push the projector lens out more.

I just bought a 08 RX350 for my wife to replace my Acura TL-s. I like it a lot and the lights seem normal to me. However, I didn't get HID lights with my IS. I added 8,000k lights to them later on so both look nice. I think the aftermarket lights look better honestly.

I believe the projectors in the IS and the RX are the same. I couldn't or would not believe LEXUS going with two different types of projectors, especially since cutting costs is the main objective. Most of the time, you can relate blue/purple projection lights to the projector.
In the case, i also do think it's the type of bulb and the angle both cars are at. The IS uses the mercury free D4S. Actually Wikipedia even says the mercury-free bulbs produce more of a white light, then the older mercury ones. Read under "Construction - Types of HID lamps included:"

thats because the IS has a newer bulb design. It is a mercury free bulb. D4S vs D2S. The lights on the RX may look more blue, but the lights on the IS are brighter.
EDIT: Just read the post above mine, 100% correct.
