Default Best HID Kit

Anyone used this kit before? The vendor said that the relay is not required or recommended for this kit. If you used it before, please post your review.
Thanks!

I dunno I just ordered from www.mobilehid.com 2 days ago and I've heard nothing but positive feedback. They're shipping right now so PM me and I'll let ya know how they are in a few days.

I installed the kit on my 2006 Civic. So far everything works fine. I did not use the relay. Here are some pics.

You don't really need to use the relay for the lowbeams, just for the highs and fogs.

huh?

low beams need the relay more than highs do...

stock highs are what, 65 watts? lows are 55 watts?

HID's pull more than 55 watts on startup, then average about 35 watts...

I've seen / heard too many horror stories of melted wiring, blown out ballasts and bulbs using the stock wiring... the mobilehid kit wiring harness is sooooo easy to use - it takes literally 2 minutes to wire it to the battery terminal...

um, no... not saying you haven't had problems, but people have...

it is the wattage / amperage that is higher on startup...

a vehicle charging system is always 12.5-14.4 volts, no matter what bulb or lighting system is in there...

after the transformer, the voltage is higher, yes, but the transformer (ballast) can only pull whatever voltage the vehicles charging system supplies it...

now, we know that HID ballasts draw more power on start up, and, by following V=I*R, if voltage stays constant, and resistance stays constant, that amperage has to go up, wattage is derived from amperage and voltage
