Default HID lighting

Ok...I've had HID's installed on my car for awhile. Xetronic 8k's . But they're firing up so slow now...it takes like..9-10 seconds for it to fire up to full blast and they're still connected to the stock wiring harness...Any idea's why they may be firing up slow?

You might get a an answer if you post this at the "lighting" forums: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lighting-128/

There may be more people (that doesn't drive ES's) that has your HID system.

You might want to get a wire harness so you won't be pulling power directly from your electrical system for initial startup. But also remember that HID lights take some time to reach full power whether it's aftermarket or OEM.

Upgrade your wiring harness, regardless of what kit you have.

Because they are 8K...

8K are lower power, which means they take longer to warm up to the 8k color temp.

Go with a 6k or under and they will flicker on and warm up to temp within 1-2 seconds...

Cheers,
Sean
