Default H.I.D. troubles

has N-E-one done a retro-fit (projectors, bulbs, ballast) and have trouble with it my headlights dont always come on and when they do they dont come on at the same time. i spend 20 min every morning fooling with this. could the ballast be bad? makes a predator sound when turning on . if this is in the wrong place, sorry!

when i did my HID upgrade, one side didnt come on. couldnt figure it out for weeks. ended up switching the wires on the stock 9006 harness bc the polarity was reversed.

Also, make sure you have a wire harness. It may not always effect your car but it might. In my case I've never used a wire harness. On my other car, a 1999 ES300, sometimes one of the bulbs wouldn't come on. On my current car, it only happened to me twice in over a year.

That predator sound is normal.( I bet you have an aftermarket Asian HID kit) If your lights do not come on when you first turn them on the first time, turn them off and then on again quickly. This should work and if it does not, it will after about 5 times. You are putting wear and tear on your ballast and your HID lights though.
You might want to look into getting a wiring harness, as mentioned before, for your set-up. You will be providing your ballast a constant power rather than relying on your stock harness to provide the start up juice to your ballast.

A wire harness is a separate set of wires aside from the ones you use to plug your HID kit to. It uses beefed up wires and has it's own fuses and relay and draws power directly from the battery instead of from you electrical system to make sure you get the right power.

Default N-E one retofit sc?

ok i just spend an hour and a half reading up on this. and i still dont know exactly what to do. but what i gathered is. i definetly need a wire harness to protect my stock wiring (thanx Kanedl25). threw the links on the interlexuall site they say you can buy or make your own. So is there N-E one here that has an sc that has done this with good results?
