So, I'm looking to replace my D2R bulbs...what K should I get? Don't want purple lights, so 8000K+ is out. Been hearing 6000-6500K is the best route to go. I just want my lights a little brighter than what they are now. Waddya think? I have a '98 GS400, that's OEM 4300K, right? Also, where can I find the best place/price for Philips D2R bulbs???...Thanks guys, opinions/advice is much appreciated!
or if ya don't want to lose too much output from 6000k, can always try the philips color match 5k. when my 6k goes out, i'm planning on either going to stock 4.3k or 5k. as is now, with my retrofit, the 6k seems more purple from angles instead of blue... can be remedied with either 4.3k or 5k.
Thanks guys. Does anyone have clear night pics of the philips 6000k bulbs installed? PICS PLEASE!!!...My bro. has, i think, 9000k and it looks purely Purple! No good. I'm looking for a slightly bluer/whiter hue to the color over OEM. Also, how much light output does the 6000k actually lose compared to the 4300k? I hear it's not much, not even that noticable from what I've read. Oh, and I found these on Ebay...check it out...
Do y'all think these are Real or Fake??? Aren't Philips Ultinon D2R bulbs made in GERMANY! Look closely at the close-up pic near the bottom of the page...see how it says 'Europe/USA'??? Waddya think???
i don't have pics anymore, coz' it doesn't eally do much justice. you almost can't get good color from pictures. just look at stock hid and imagine a bit whiter/bluer for 6000k
ok...like a lot whiter/bluer? or just a little?...did anyone get a chance to check out that link?...waddya think? authentic or not??? i'm a skeptic...any opinions/advice please! Thanks!
Make sure to purchase from a reputable place, as there are plenty of fakes. Based on the feedback for the seller in your link, it looks to be the real deal (but of course I don't know the seller and cannot verify).
I had 6ks on my old accord and they were blue but Im trying ultra white(lows)/jdm yellow(fogs) on the es. SHould have them in tomorrow. HID's are just too much so Im goin with some cheap bulbs from nokya my buddy at a local shop hooked me up with. I'll post some pictures and tell you how I like them

i opened the link...but didn't see anything related to lights??? anyways, i'm not sure if the 6000k bulbs are worth the loot? $150 ain't much, but it ain't cheap either... i guess i'm on whether i should buy 'em or not? is their anyway to get the yellow fog lights even "yellower"? (if that's a word?)???
no he hasn't lost his mind... i have a friend who has 30,000k... and no this is not a typo. he had 15,000k before. i never heard of 30,000k or knew that there was one but then again he said that it just came out... not sure on the brand though. but right now i haven't seen them in person. but my other friend said that it made his stock hid's look like garbage... by the way they both have gs's. to me i would prefer anything from 6000k - 10000k.
