Was driving home last night and got behind an old chrysler 4 door car. The car slows way down and then gets into the other lane. I pass by, then all of a sudden, the car jumps back into my lane and hits his brights and starts riding my tail! (I guess he didnt like my 9006 mod... ) I have tinted windows, so it didnt really bother me that much... I actually started laughing.

My turn came up in a few more blocks and figured that this guy had to go around me while I made my left hand turn. I purposely stayed there extra long so that he would have to, hehehe. When he came around I lit him up with the brights to show 1) I actually have extra headlights for brights and 2) I couldve turned it into daytime if I wanted to.

Well anyway, I guess I have to see about lowering my lights a little since it bothers people... Anyone with the 9006 mod have similar stories?

Edit: did I get the right bulb? Is it the 9005 mod I am talking about??

i think he ment that the guy in the chrysler was pissed that his 9006 HID mod was shinning through his car from tha back. so the guy slows down to respond to the HID;s with highbeams...... it could of been put in a way where this was funnier, but i think this is what he meant.

 

i am confused too, i guess i will assume he meant hid kits for the low beam. if so, might want to consider lowering the headlights a bit

 

im thinking he ment 9005 mod. the 9005 blubs are like 5 watts more. and are a lil brighter. i blind the crap out of people with my new HIDs in....

 

I was under the impression that the 9005 and 9006 numbers refer to base of the bulb.

the brightness aka light output is based on the color temp like 8000k or 3200k.

 

Funny 9006 story... ...........I don't think it is funny...The only thing that is funny is you bad retro fit ! ! !
