Just got my new IS250 over the weekend and I am looking to put HID lights and fogs on. I want to keep it as stock looking as possible and was wondering which kit best provides that. I was looking into the xenondepot kit 4300k but was not sure if there is something better for that price or for cheaper. I want the light to look like the new BMW's do, does anyone know what light that is? Also, I was thinking of getting Piaa fogs but I am not sure. I want them to be white not yellow. Any help is much appreciated. thanks guys
I just bought a bunch of HIDs 9006 for my car,,,
I am doing everything from headlights, fog lights and high beams to 6000K for my GS, SC and IS.... hahaha... can't wait to put them on and see the difference...
I got mine for 220 per set from China which is pretty cheap and the quality is very good too..
I had one set installed on my SC and I love it...
If you want, maybe I will have some left over I can give you for the same price I got...
Yea that would be sweet. I need to convert from non HID to HID first so I need a kit. I was looking at a Philips 5000k kit, does anybody have pics with these lights? Does anyone know what color *(4300k, 6000k etc.) newer bmw's use stock. Thanks guys
Hey blacksc where did you get that kit? I heard the plug N play was not as good as rewire, is that true? Also would I need an H11 kit for my IS? Thanks
For fog lights, can I just get any 9006 bulb I want or do they have to be designed as fog. I saw a sticky where a guy used Luminics 9006 6000k fog lights and said they were too blue so i was thinking about getting the Luminics Ultra White 5150k but they say they are for Headlights. Does that mean I cannot get them or will the work just fine? I was also looking into Piaa 9006 Star White bulbs but again they said headlights? Would these be bright enough?

I would think that either one would work fine for fogs. Its the lens that redirects the light beam to suit the application. The only other variable would be color. That would be up to your personal taste. The guy on the sticky you talked about was me. The Luminics pure blue 6000k was nice, but was not bright enough. So I changed it out to Luminics JDM Yellow 2500k. Usually, the higher the K rating (Kelvin) the closer to sunlight in color but would not be as bright. Unless you convert to true HID set up. Then you would have good brightness and color together.
Good luck. I hope this helps.

Thanks guys for the help so here is what i am going to go with.
Headlights - H11 4300k XenonDepot HID Conversion Kit (since my car does not have HID currently)
Fogs - Piaa 9006 Star White bulbs
Would these give me a nice white look and would it be a noticable upgrade from the stock non HID lights the IS currently has? Also would it be worth it to get the PIAA 9006 SUPER PLASMA GTX BULBS? Would they burn out faster? Thanks again guys
I just looked on the Lexus website under IS Wallpapers and there is an image of a silver IS driving with Pillars in the background. Can anybody confirm or say whether the 4300k lights will look like the ones on the car?

OEM BMW use either Philips 4300k or Osram 4100k. The only car that to the best of my knowledge that ever came with 6000k bulbs with the Older GM Envoy.
