I've tried to search but couldn't find what I was looking for. On a 2nd Gen. GS, do can you just pull the sidemarker out of the bumper to get to the sidemarker bulb or do you need to pull back the plastic cover from inside the wheel well to get to it?

 

you can pull the fender liner down to get to it, but IMO it is much easier to unscrew the fog lights and go through that way. the markers are held in by two 10mm bolts.

driver side is a little cramped, but it should only take you 10-15 minutes from start to finish.

 

OK. So unscrew the foglights and reach my hand through there to get to the sidemarker bulb?

 

Yes....remove foglights...then reach hand towards sidemarkers....then turn sidemarker bulb socket 1/2 turn...then pull a bit...it should pop out...pull bulb out...replace with 168/194 bulb....or with LED of same size.
