Hi I am having the same issues. I didn't install the KIT myself so i'm a noob so imma ask a
noobie question. When you say flip the 9006 wires, do you mean flip the fog light wiring?
I thought the the low beam's bulb was H11? and also if anyone can guide me on "flipping"
the wires so that I can do it myself, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
you have the is250, the low beam is h11. most of us have older lexus and the low beams / fogs are all 9006
and yes, when we said flip the wires, basically you just somehow switch the two wires so the plug is kinda "flipped"
i ended up buying a brand new HID kit that wires to the battery. i ran all the wiring and guess what, the light still didn't turn on! so, i snipped the passenger side OEM harness wires, flipped them, and now they work perfect! thanks guys.
but now i'm having another problem. i purchased BRAND NEW 97 SC400 Headlight casings, and the cutoff line is terrible. I get a patch of reflection above the main beam on both sides. The driver side is worse than the passenger. Any reason for this?
HAHA I have had a problem like this ever since I got HID's for my 92 ES300 about 6months ago. And It KILLS ME to drive around with 1 headlight all the time. It sucks to have such a nice car and ride past girls with a headlight out. The worst part was sometimes it went on, and then it would just flicker out all the time...soo annoying. Anyways, I have to see if this technique works.
I have my HIDs connected into the stock OEM wire harness . My question is...for the light that doesn't work (driver's side light), do I just unplug the wires from the HID's that were in the stock harness, and "flip" them so that the positive wire goes into the negative socket, and the negative wire goes into the postive socket? This would be the easiest solution..correct? I dont understand why some of you people are trying to take the wires connected the the plastic harness and strip them out and flip them...why dont you just flip the wires from the HID's that are connected into the plastic harness?
