I got the Xtec 5000K. They are a universal kit but that shop caters to mostly BMW owners. It was just basically plug and play but I had to reverse the wiring and drill the dust cover. No condensation or issues yet. The ballast is bigger than XenonDepots but it still fit in my IS. I put one by the windshield cleaner tube and the other near the air filter.

The light is a very bright white with no yellow/blue but it gives that blue look from afar. As for the warranty, there were some posts on bmw forums of guys getting new kits from him when their kits got messed up so I think it's legit but its your call.

Is it worth getting these for my 94 LS400? It has reflector type headlights and the glass lens has the beam splitters so I'm not sure if it will really be a significant improvement.

I wouldn't get it unless you have projector type lamps. The light output is going to be scattered and blind other drivers.
