Gents,

I was wondering if someone could help me out with a problem...

It seems that my parking lights are not activating. From searching, I found that these lights are suppose to illuminate with one turn of the light stock. When I do this, there is no change (the DRL stay on, and the parking lights stay off). I thought I would just replace the bulbs, but I fear I might have a problem with the lighting (because my DRL are not turning off).

When you turn the stalk once the DRL lights will not turn off. They will stay on along with the parking lights. Try turning the stalk once with the car off to see if they come on but you will not be able to turn the DRL lights off unless you either disable the DRL or just disconnect the bulb.

 

This might sound like a really stupid question, but what are parking lights? I see 6 lights on the front of my GS, the 2 yellow fog lights, the 2 outer headlights and the 2 inner DRLs, where's the parking light(s)?

 

Try doing this.

 

Look in the high beam part of the housing. This is the smaller of the two. In it, you will see the high beam/DRL bulb. If you look below it, you should see a small bulb protruding out of a hole. These are the parking lights.
