I'm new to the forum , and have a quick question. I'm getting an HID kit installed next week, and was wondering if they need to do anything that would compromise the seal of the headlight. I've had the car for 5 months now, and luckily my headlights have thus far not had any leaks or condensation buildup. This may be a dumb question (I have no idea what they change with the HID kit), but I don't want to do anything that would cause my headlights to cloud up.
your HID shouldn't really affect condensation. the condensation problem is more of a housing related problem. If it's just a plug and play kit, all they did was remove the old halogen bulb and put in the new bulb. That's as far as doing anything with the headlight housing.
Basically what GSteg said. Unless you're doing a retrofit, installing just a plug and play HID kit does not require you to disassemble the housing. You've got nothing to worry about as long as they do the install correctly.
