I know I know I already searched and found a bunch of info but not what
Ia m looking for. I just bought a 95'sc400 with the Xenon light kit installed. Anyway the pass side headlight is out and I need to replace it. I pulled the airbox and thought the light would pop out the back but that is not the case, so I tried to take the entire assembly out but that wont work either. So how do I change the bulb? The lights say toyota on them so I think they are the newer lexus ones? The aftermarket wiring harness thing behind the bulb says toyota so I think the previous owner used toyota stuff and not a kit?

If I had the time to search I would but I need to get this taken care of today.

BTW is the bulb a xenon 9006?

The headlight bulbs are 9006.

The bulbs should come right out of the back. Twist entire bulb/socket until tabs line up with openings and pull out. Simple!

 

VGRC51, no **** sherlock j/k. I meant that they are toyota parts and not some aftermarket company.


As far as the bulbs pulling strait out the back they have a rubber boot on them that is siliconed shut. I guess I will have to cut the boot to get at the bulb.

yeah sounds like a ghetto rig setup.....even if you are able to take out the bulb, you're going to have to figure out how the original set up was like

 

I think you've got a retro on your hands. You have to take the headlight out and work on it that way to get the silicone off and bulb out.

Search in the SC forums on how to get your headlight out.
