Default Got HID kit but does not shoot straight

I got an HID kit from a friend for a good deal. I got the 9006 plug and play. I put in everything and next thing I know, it does not shoot straight. It shoots to the sides! This is stopping me from driving at night. I need help, but search and couldn't find anything. S.O.S.!

thanks.

Uhhh from what I understand your light pattern goes to the side?. Is the cutof sharp like _______________/---------------- or is it all messed up? try checking your bulbs they probably are not sitting correctly and not aligning with the focal points in your headlights. Stan.

^^^ What he said, or those bulbs aren't really 9006 based.

2 snake eyes? hmm I'm having a hard time picturing snake eyes but the wide V, hmm you have an sc right with projector headlights?. Either way sounds like the bulbs are not seated correctly, either the focal point is of from the start or your not sitting them properly in the headlights. Once again a true example of why hid and halogen don't go togather ( most of the time ).

Take the bulbs out and rotate them. You need to have them seated so that once they are turned and locked in the housing, the covered wire that connects to the tip of the bulb (dunno what its called) is pointed down. If you can't then they are poor 9006 retrofits or not made for the 9006 housing.
