Default HID Ballasts Mod

Hello everyone.. as many already know.. Soaristo, the man that knows it all.. thanks to him, i'm now able to share with you my wonderful mod... that is the "Ultimate Headlight Mod" basicly turn the original HID ballast into an adjustable one.. that can adjust the wattage from 25w to 75w...yahoooooo.. enjoy:

ok so what does this do? .. make it brighter? will this fry your wires?

In those pics I dont really see a huge difference. Is the difference more noticeable in person? If this isnt too complicated and the brightness that it brings is significant then this is definately something to be done. Let us know what to do

Difference is like night and day. 35w HID is bright in your rearview when you actually catch the beam. 75W is like looking at the sun

this looks like a mod i would like to do, i went to the soaristo site, that someone linked in another thread, but i don't understand japanese. :'( are you using oem bulbs? do you know if it works with D2S bulbs?

Anyone done this to their ballast? I dont want to screw up the new ballast I get, just want to see if anyone else had success in their attempts.

i tried searching hidplanet for ballast mod and couldnt find anything.....has anyone done this b4?how to? and what are the differences??

My bi-xenons need more light

Well, I got most of the stuff about the mod....explained on Soaristo's site. However he was not very clear about what resistor to 'destroy?' and where to solder the new pots on.
