Default HIDs on a LS?

Hey Guys...

I just got some 6000K HIDs put into my fogs and the color are JUST WAY TOO OFF!!! The factory HIDs are a bit yellowish, and the fogs are just white/blue.

Anyone know what kind of bulbs are in the factory LS headlights? 5000k?

no i don't think you need to take apart the housing to just change the bulb, you should be able to take the projector out from behind or something? i have never dealt with projectors before.

and yes, stock is only 4300k

All u need to do is to change ur stock 4300K D2S bulb to 6000K D2S. As for changing the bulb, u don't need to take apart or take out ur headlamp housing, just pop ur hood, remove some clips & plastic covers......then u'll have access to ur D2S HID bulb.

LOL yellow is the name of the game for the LS projectors, remember if you swap the oem bulbs with 6000K be prepared to see a drop in light output, that pretty much defeates the whole perfomance of LS projectors. I have a retrofit in progress one headlight done and 1 more to go and so far I'm driving with 1 (which in itself gives of more then enough light) and I'm also running HID foglights, and the light difference is noticable but if you get rid of those 6000K and get 4300K phillps in your foglights they will be much closer in color and you will be much happier. Please dont put 6000K bulbs in ls 430 projectors, you have the best, use it wisely.
