Unhappy

So after my big ordeal of changing out fog lights etc. now they won't come on. I was driving this morning and one was out. When I came out of work (no driving since the morning) both were out. How is this possible? And yes I checked the #31 fuse under the hood... It is fine. A little help would be greatly appreciated. Ramsee1

Did you try wiggling or taping the assembly, my cousin also had this problem, it could be a loose wire, or bad hyper whites?

Unhappy hmmmmm

yeah I tapped the heck out of it I mean for both to go out in the same day, I don't think that's it. I am hoping they just burned out. BUT just the fact that the second one went out when I wasn't even driving or anything.... suspicious. I guess I won't know til I replace them. I still have the stock bulbs, but can't get in there without a lift.

Thumbs down

nah, I will try it again, but they haven't come on. I wish the lights just popped out simply. I could then easily check to see if it burned out. The closest I can get it rotating the **** on the back of the housing. Then there are wires that go in and that's all I can reach.

your close, thats about all you need to do, turn the *** on the back then the wire directly conect to the bulb, there is that metal clasp wire thingy i was talking about its like the thing on the back of a polititions vote for me button. After you undo that then the light pops out you unconect the wires then you inser the new H3 hyper whites, its simple.

Talking

no kidding? I know you were telling me this previously. I feel like a rubber boot over the metal piece. Is there a latch or does it just pull out? Again doing this blindly isn't fun! I don't see why it couldn't be right on the back of the housing. Anyway, I'll give it a shot when there's daylight. Let me know if there's a trick to pulling the light out or if it just comes right out. Thanks again. Ramsee1

Wink

Sorry I reread your post I guess you already answered that. So it's sort of a pin and clasp? I shall find it and take it out.
