I wanted to do a retrofit on my 00 rx300 with the HID rx300 headlights...
I can get the headlights on ebay for like 300 total... with HID ballast, bulbs, and housing...

But since i have the OEM halogen on my 00 right now.. do i need anything else to replace it with the 01-03 rx300 OEM HID headlights set?

Such as new wiring ? changes in ballast?

 

You got all those items covered (HID bulbs, ballast and housing), so you should be all set and ready to go

 

yeah i would think you would be able to just swap everything in

 

What about relay, doesn't halogen's relay support HID?

 

Looks like all he needs is the HID wire harness and he's all set. I can make one but It'll be a while since I have to finish this retrofit I'm working on and since I'm already doing a wire harness for someone, I can do yours or show you how to do one. PM me

 

PM send, also what is OEM computer used for? Sounds like it is not needed but why Lexus include them in the stock HID setup?
