my 8000k philips bulb is starting to turn yellowish where can i buy replacement bulb

there is a vendor here named Xenondepot.com i believe. They sell replacement bulbs. I would suggest going down to a 6000k bulb so the light output is a little bluer and brighter, just MHO though.

 

Philips only make bulbs up to 6000K. 8000K bulb it's not Philips bulb!

 

exactly.... there is no, and probably will never, be a philip 8000k bulb.....

and if you have to get replace, i suggest get 6000k, and get a pair. even with 8000k (whatever brand) you need to get a pair otherwise the color doesnt match

 

do i need d2r or d2s and what is the difference

 

d2r. that's the reflective type, that's what you need. d2s is for projective housing like that for the sc430 or bimmer, audi...

the base of the two bulbs are a bit different
