I brought LED strips to mod to my taillights. They only had a positive and negative wire connnected to them. Simple I thought. I connected them to the postive and negative bulb wires and the fired up. Cool. Once I press on the brake pedal they cut off. what gives?
um, there are two circuits in the taillights - one for running lights, and one for brake lights - they use two different conductors inside the same socket - iirc, when the brake light is applied, the less intense filament is turned off and the more intense filament it turned on...
Is it possible to bring my car to you so you can do my brake lights?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of these types of mods, no I can't offer it as a service. There's a lot of trial and error, experimentation, and breaking things. Plus it's a mission I don't want to go thru again, lol...
