How does 8K HID look like?
ok lets see how much i can remember from my cinematography class about the subject of lighting temp.
2500-yellow ish tint
4000-4800 almost pure white(visually) depending on ambient light
7200-9000 purple/violet tint
also keep in mind with true hid you will usually see each of these colors depending on the prisming effect towards the edge of the beam.
I am looking at purchasing a set for my es and 4300k is the range i want. im picky and i hate the blue color from the 8000k temp.

All you need to do is get a pair of 8000K HID bulbs and pop them in...just make sure the connectors of the bulbs are compatible with your ballasts or you will have to do some wire splicing. Take rominl's advice, the color will be very blue, and the output will be minimal (although you might not think so) compared to the 6000K you have now.

Thanks for the help guys!! 8k is really blue!! I think driving in a city is allright since there are many road lights, but for the rural area, that might be enough to see clearly.
Do you know how does POLARION HID kit differ from XenonDepot HID kit(assume they are both 6k)?

Also, here's a site with a java demonstration of black body radiation emissions and kelvin color temperature. Change the value in the "Change the temperature" field and then see the effect in the "Appearance" circle at the top.
