Default did i get rip off?

Friend of my know a shop owner for HID Bulbs. He sold me two brand new Xtec 7000K D2R/D2S bulbs for $200. Did I get rip?

I recall someone on the forum having an Xtec HID kit (I forget who), but I don't think you got ripped off...if anything, you got a good price for the bulbs.

for the price, it's decent, but fyi, 7000K ain't the greatest...

IMO 7000K won't yield as good of a light output as in the 6000K (ask rominl). Plus I believe the 7000K appears slightly purplish (at least from the ones I've seen), and therefore seems dimmer than other lighting systems on the road. I've never heard of the Xtec HID brand before, but not sure if it's as reliable as the Philips kind

the price is ok, but the bulbs and specailly the color tamperature.... bad idea

so 6000k and 7000k makes a lot of difference?? Should I return it and get the 6000K?

I found these pics from the BMW forum....Xtec 6000K bulb on left......Oscram 6000K bulb on right.....both were runnin off of Hella ballasts.

that's why i love philips more

anyway, mark, try to return it and get some philips 6000k, that's what you WANT
