Question Angel eyes turining differnet colors?

I've purchased and installed the Gen V kit from lextasy for my IS300, been working for about two weeks. At first they were both the same color as the DRL's and gradually one is becoming a brighter color then the other which looks very dim. the only explanation i could think of is that one light box is closer to the engine block and therefore the heat has distorted the bulb. Has anyone encountered this problem? and if so how can it be fixed?

Check the fiber cable ends on the dimmer light box, they will be slightly burned. Cut just the tips off with a cigar cutter and reinstall them but this time keep the ends further from the bulb.

You sould look to upgrade to Gen-6 and avoid that problem all together.

Not bad LCA, the fiber optic had actually melted to the bulb with a little nice brown film inbetween. Proble fixed, can you tell me whats different about the gen 6 kit?

Gen-6 DDEs are CCFL tubes rather than fiber optics.

Much brighter (can be seen vividly in the middle of the day), no light boxes, more OEM look design, I love them!

pm me if you want more info!

Gen-V is Fiber Optics with a halogen light box.
