Im planning on retrofitting some projectors in my 92 sc400 but im not sure on which projector to use.
Ive been looking into the X5 projectors but was wondering which projectors you guys suggest i use. Any valueable input will be greatly appreciated.

S2k projectors are gonna run you 3 bills for just the projector. They are pretty difficult to mount I heard.

They aren't going to fit too well. I have a set and have yet to be able to mount them properly.

E39 or Valeo. The E55 may be a little bit too big for the housing.

The lens will be really small for the chrome shroud.

As of tomorrow I may be selling my X5 E39 units and trying another set. They've been nothing short of awesome with good spread and powerful foreground illumination. I'll know for sure as the Hidforum site is down and alot of us sellers and buyers are discombobulated because of the idiot kids that hacked the site. Anyhow, I'm tyring to get in contact with a member there but if I cannot by tomorrow, then I'll put them up for sale.

Here are some pics of them in my ES300 ...

Exact same output as you'll find on X5 trucks or even 745i BMW.
I'll keep you guys posted

S2000s can fit but are very difficult to install for the novice retrofitter. Illusion and other retrofittters can do it for you but will charge more because of the difficulty. Here's one guy thats done many S2000 retrofits..

S2000 in SC is impossible. THe diameter is physically to big. Hella, Valeo, or Bosch will be your best bet. I've done all three, each has their own pro's and con's cosmetically.
