Default ANYONE tried replacing the LEDs in their Dash?

I was just wondering what is the size ? is it 3mm?

its certainly not 5 mm b/c i bought a pair of blue 5 mm LEDs and it started smoking.. ..

For the GS is pretty easy.. no soldering involved.

I believe most dashes are 74 led bulbs. They COULD be plug and play but there are hot spots. If you really want to make your dash a different color, there's always lextech lighting (one of our sponsors)

Lextech dont make kits for the GS.. i asked already..

and they are not exactly plug and play.. but ..not sure on other models but on the GS it has these special adapters that you put the LED bulbs in and just twist in (quite ingenious) so no soldering is needed. And yes I think it is 74 LED bulbs. What is the difference between the 74 LED bulb and the regular LED other than its size?? what are hot spots? Is that why the 5mm LED that i tried fried on me?

I have not tried....mainly cuz my ride is my daily driver, and I'd hate to take apart my dash without the proper bulbs to replace them with.

Are you talking about the optitron gauge color, or are you talking about the various lights/lighted button, radio, A/C on the dash?? I'd really be interested in seeing the 3 gauges in different colors.

I second on the pics request!!

Looking forward to this cuz them green gauge light doesn't match well with other other hyper white interior lights.
