Default Tired of Weak Trunk Light

Ok, everyone talks about having the best light output from their headlights, clear corners, etc. What about when I am stumbling around my trunk looking for my cd magazine or whatever because the trunk light is so dim? Also, for a Lexus, you would figure that they would put an underhood light in there somewhere. Anyone wired up some LEDs to get some more useful light?

it shouldn't be hard to swap out the trunk light to a brighter one

yah...easiest way is to bump up to a higher wattage bulb, but you probably wont be able to put the cover back on.

I just changed mine out for a 6-LED bulb. It's still not terribly bright in there, but it sure looks a lot cooler... If you want it brighter, PHML is probably right on.

I was thinking wiring multiple lights up. One on both sides of the trunk and one in the middle. As for the hood, I would put one in the middle.

You could buy a code cathode tube and wire it up in there. I've been wanting to do that but am lazy.
