Fixing Foggy Headlights
Ok I tried some searching and didnt seem to get an real answers, so Im wondering whats an easy way to get the yellow foggish look out of the headlights. I saw some pics, which looked nice, but they lacked instructions. The yellowish fog on them makes the whoe front end of the car look bad, so Im really hoping to get it fixed, thanks.

the headlights are the "eyes" of the car. just like human eyes, they are the first thing seen when you come up on it. brand new headlights can make a car LOOK brand new.
I spent an hour or two yesterday cleaning/resealing my headlights and they came out INCREDIBLE. Honestly, they look like new. There is absolutely no need to buy new ones. Wetsand with 2000 grit, then Meguiars ScratchX and Clear Plastic Cleaner with an orbital buffer = BRAND NEW. Then I let those badboys drain out and resealed with clear RTV silicone. Trust me, new headlights is just a waste of money.

I agree with OLT, new lights look like new car. I would have to see the fix it job to believe it looks as good as new...but I think the fix up is okay if you don't want to spend the money. I like my car to look new. Besides, the fix it job won't last as long, you'll be doing it regularly.
I just used an orbital buffer and the Meguiar's ScratchX and it was good as new. No wetsanding or other stuff, took me like 30 minutes total. Applied the ScratchX by hand using a cloth and buffed it off using the buffer, voila! Cost me $8 and 30 minutes of my time and I'm QUITE satisfied. I did that about 3 weeks ago and they're still crystal clear, and I agree, they make the whole front end of your car look like new. I can actually see my headlights sparkling in the sunlight in the reflection of shiny dark colored cars when I'm trailing them on the streets and freeway. Before it looked like I had jaundice in one of my eyes!
