I believe you'll get a more scattered and not as focused light output...stick with D2Rs unless u plan on doing a projector retrofit.

technically there are more light output, but non of the extra lgiht output will go on the ground at all. they will scatter towards the sky, to me that's glaring. you don't really gain anything. plus, you will need to dremel the d2s a bit in order to fit the d2r housing.

How about for the foglights? D2S or D2R? Keep the yellow covers or take them out?

d2r and d2s are hid spec. the fogs are halogen so it goes by 9006. i have the 6000k headlights with hid yellow fogs (9006 hid kit) on my car. let's just say it's so bright

So you also put 6000K kit at the foglights?

yup. the 6000k 9006 kit was off my old car and i had no use of it, so i was like screw it and put it on my gs4. but my gs4 has yellow fogs to begin with, so the 6000k doesn't really do much on the color. 4100k would be just fine. if you have clear fogs and 6000k headlights though, you want 6000k fogs too to match well

if you notice, when you turn on headlights, the hid headlights are so bright, you can't really see the halogen fogs at all. i have seen a lot of GS headlights/foglights on, the fogs are just weak. now i have 4 hids on my car, man it's just bright. people usually don't want to stay in front of me

You can clear the yellow like other lights by breaking the yellow part inside. BUT, why do that when you can probably trade with another member who wants yellow fogs.

personally i am all for yellow fogs. that's what determine it's lexus and with the GS, you have yellow fogs only if you have hid, so i think that looks very cool

from a distant, with my yellow fogs, people know it's a GS or IS. but if i have 4 clear fogs with 6000k hid, people know the car runs fast, but that's about it
