Question for members w/ Aftermarket HIDs

Eh? Someone connected the stock power connector/socket directly to the HID bulb?? Now I'm confused. I know that couldn't be possible on a car that didn't originally come with HIDs since the ballasts are necessary for igniting the HIDs.

I have some pics of teh ballast. BUt it doesn't seem to be able to post. It says that the pic is to big. is there another way i can post it? some one please help.

It's probrably too big because it's in .bmp format. Open it up with a photo editor and save it as a .jpg file. That should do the trick and allow you to upload it.

HEre is the ballast. notice that the 9006 headlight plus is connected directly to the ballast

Here is a diagram of how it SHOULD be installed. Although it works for you as is, you really should wire in the relays.

What would or could anything happen to my HIDs if i dont run the wires?

Damage to your electrical system. Not that it WILL happen but it COULD happen.

Oh ok thanks a lot. Is there anyone else out there that installed the HIDs like I did?? I just did that cause i figure it would be easier.
