Default Seeking an LFA

Hi all,

Currently seeking to purchase an LFA, open to any mileage within reason, so long as the price is in accordance ($350k - $425k seems like the reasonable range, plus or minus).

Please reach out if you have a car to sell, either here or Sterling@SW2tuning.com is fine.

Thanks!

Sorry I am not selling but Here’s to finding another happy LFA owner. 7500 miles for me and counting. Just not sure what I would buy to give me so much fun for $400k. When I ordered my Pista I thought it could be the one but sold it after only 9 months. LFA is iconic. Not for everyone I guess but works for me. Good luck on the search Sterling.

Just curious to get your thoughts on the Pista and anything specific you didn't like?

As I mentioned before on this forum, the vanilla 488 was better than I expected but certainly not something I'd waste a garage space on. I've never driven the Pista though.

It was really cool and really fast but just not for me. Too track focused and raw. I may be in the minority but I prefer the front engine V12 cars.

I would assume you have seen the one that Marshall Goldman has for sale for 448K? You may need to wait for an auction to try and pick one up for a little less.

I love my LFA so much I couldn’t imagine selling it for anywhere close to that range. What on Earth could you replace it with for that money. Any Ferrari with a metal chassis is half the car. McLarens lose half their value in 12 months and spend half their days in the shop, while the LFA starts every time, throws no warning lights and has the best engine ever fitted to a production car.

Not trying to bid up the price, that just costs me more in insurance premium. Just saying in that price range there is literally nothing that could entice me. I wouldn’t trade my car for a CGT or an F40, both cars that I adore greatly and have higher market prices. Same for a P1 or 918. LaFerrari, maybe... but even then the hybrid would make me nervous. New Ford GT looks so awesome, but I’d regret swapping the V10 for the ecoboost every single day.

Which all means my LFA is staying with me forever unless somebody offered me a McLaren F1, which is obviously never happening.

edit- On second thought I would trade for a Nurburgring Edition, provided the miles for miles premium wasn’t more than $100K. But of course that won’t happen either. Not saying the Ring cars aren’t worth it - it’s probably the regular LFAs that relatively undervalued. I do think the base car looks a bit better, though, especially the wheels and the active wing. I have seriously considered just buying a Ring car in addition to my current LFA. But I like being married

I don’t disagree with much of what you said. However, I think a 599GTO is a pretty special car and is pretty close to an LFA. It also has a great engine and a terrific sound. It’s also faster than an LFA with a wonderful Superfast transmission. They made 799 and prices are drifting down. After having owned 2 of them I have a hankering for another. The perfect companion to an LFA but also a worthy adversary.

Very interesting insight thanks. What are asking price on those though? Has to be much higher than a used LFA?

Depends on how much you pay for a used LFA? You can pick up a 599GTO in the 5’s now. In the long term I think both will be safe.
