Default Paris Hilton's Lexus LFA Needs Jump-starting

From what I remember, those who purchased LFAs were pre-approved, so why in the world did Lexus approve her as a buyer? I don't see how anyone with any sense wouldn't notice the headlights were on. Some are already using this as an attack on Lexus reliability. Anyway down below is more info:

Paris Hilton's speedy getaway was somewhat hampered today - after she returned to her snazzy sports car fresh from a shopping trip to discover the battery had gone flat.

The 31-year-old reality star accidentally left the headlights on after parking up in Beverly Hills - causing the motor to conked out.

Luckily a valet came to the rescue and called a tow truck, with a mechanic arriving on the scene to jump start the $375,000 Lexus LFA.

Seriously. The 1993 Chrysler Concorde that my parents bought new for ~18k had them.

I believe she received the LFA as a gift. Seriously, LOL at the people bashing the reliability of Lexus. She left the lights on and went shopping. What do you think is going to happen?

What does Lexus pre approve for? I don't think Lexus commands that kind of exclusivity to be able to tell somebody that they can't buy a car because they need to be pre approved. Especially it's been over 2 years and they still couldn't sell the measly 500 units planned for production tells me they have no business trying to pre approve anyone.

I would think that the ECU would automatically turn off the lights after x minutes after she had left the vehicle. My LS and RAV4 does it, though sadly my MR2 does not. =/

well when the lfa order started they did have a "selection process", whether that was to see if you have 400k cash or other background check that's everyone's guess.

now i am very sure it's just a matter of showing the $$

Several CL members have said their headlights didn't turn off because they didn't close the door all the way and it ended up draining the battery, so who knows?
