Good to know the LFA has enough cargo room even for her shopping needs.

Remember who we're talking about here... It's the same person whose GMC Yukon HYBRID and Bentley out of gas... Couldn't have been the driver

Yes, her boyfriend gave it to her. We did a story (and thread) here on CL when it happened.

As far as the headlight "ON" setting allowing the battery to run down with the engine-off, I don't think all vehicles are the same on that. Some cut the headlights off after a period of time (maybe 20 or 30 minutes) on both the ON and AUTO settings to prevent total battery-drain...others may allow unlimited headlight-use with the engine off....and, of course, a dead battery.

Only a few thousand LF-As were made, and I haven't gotten a chance to test one, so I can't comment on the LF-A's specific headlight-switch and its design.

I am not sure what selection process you talking about but Lexus or any car manufacture for that matter are in the business to make money. If you show them the money, the car is yours. They are not your friend, they are a business and their priority is money making.

A few thousand a year, where did you get that idea? 500 were made in total I thought that was fairly well known. Did you mean a few hundred?

OK...possibly my bad. You guys may be correct on the numbers. Originally, as I understood it, they were planning a couple of thousand, but they may have settled on 500. Anyhow, the point was that, whether 500 or a couple of thousand, the car is rare and expensive enough that many of us haven't had a chance to even quickly sit in one, much less drive it or examine all the controls in detail.

Also makes you wonder, doesn't it, why her boyfriend bought her one, when she, with her Hilton fortune, probably has more money than he does, and could have easily afforded one herself. I'm sure, though, that she is MOST appreciative of the gift he gave her......if you get my point.

Hey...if you aren't being sarcastic, you are at least one of the few of us to actually sit in one. Not many of us can say that.

It was always 500, each car has a numbered plaque I believe. Anyway I looked at the brochure and didn't see any mention of auto headlights, so have no idea if the car has it or not.
