It's a pre-production model, and quite likely one that was initially built with one of the standard tech packages installed that was then removed - who knows what they'd do instead for an LFA actually ordered without such a package (assuming any are actually ordered in such a way). Hard to see this as a sign of "cutting corners". All the CF surfaces are hand-crafted anyway, so this type of interior customization would come naturally.

I think you misread that. 73L is the fuel tank capacity, not the fuel economy.
