I do think the LFA has it in the looks department as well . Damn I wish they dude in the GTR gunned it out of the light. That would have been awesome. I think thats the battle we are all waiting for. I think the spec V vs the LFA would cool to see. The GTR has outperformed cars with more HP and heritage than a LFA . I wonder.

I bet the Nissan team is aiming already to swing at the LFA with the Spec V

That looks like the two cars were filmed leaving Cars & Coffee at Mazda Headquarters.

It's a good think that neither of those cars showed off. That's really frowned upon by people who frequent the event. Besides, there's always Johnny Law monitoring the event.

That looks like Irvine/Newport Beach. That's where I'd expect to see these cars anyway.

Speaking of which, this might be off-topic but:

Was there ever a concrete explanation as to why the Spec-V (despite it being lighter) can't beat the original GT-R?

that's the saturday when the lfa hit the car and coffee meet. the lfa was leaving and the gtr followed right the way. seems like the gtr wanted a piece of it but the lfa didn't give a damn about it. worthless race on the street -- that will only give lexus a bad name

God. Maybe it's the 18yr old kid inside me, but me driving either of those cars would not have been able to NOT gun it at the light....

Could you be more precise as to what you mean by 'beat?' The Spec-V is about .2 seconds faster 0-60 and imho handles much better than the standard GT-R. It also ran faster Nurburgring lap times iirc. Special production models that are lighter and slightly more powerful are never that much faster than their standard models. This is true in fully-fledged supercars, as well.

Nissan actually refuses to release figures of the V-spec and its lap times. Why? I have no idea but maybe b/c the incremental increases would make the price (double the GT-R) kind of to buyers?
