head unit
i was told by an audio installations place that it was too hard to install a head unit in my 92 es300 because it has "premium sound" . I think all the lexus radios say lexus premium sound right? i just have the regular tape player so i had a 6 disc changer fm modulated, but now that i think about it i believe the install would be easy. They claimed there to be some problem with going around the factory amp??? Someone help me out here because im sick of the low quality sound of my cd changer. Thanks

no 4 channel amp in 92 premium sound system.
THE PIONEER MADE PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM IN 92 HAD A 4 CHANNEL IN THE RADIO AMP SO THERE ISNT ANY AMP TO GO AROUND. THERE IS A 1 CHANNEL SUBWOOFER AMP IN THE TRUNK, THE 4 SPEAKER WIRES CAN BE HOOKED UP TO THE STANDARD TOYOTA ADAPTER THE 10 PIN AND 6 PIN DOUBLE CONNCTOR SETUP AVAILABLE At any moble electroi8nics seller. so you just hook up the after market stereo wires to the adapter wires which go directly to the 4 speakers. the subwoofer amp could then be hooked up or a 5 channel aftermarket amp would work.
